On Wednesday 21st June, Year 5 were invited to Noadswood Annual STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) day.  The children investigated being in space by using syringes & marshmallows to see what  would happen to their bodies in space.  They also did Lego mindstorms which is a computer programme that controlled  the Lego robots.    After a lovely lunch the children had the opportunity to do lunchtime activities, this included PE, rainbow torches, science or maths.    The last task of the day was water rockets whereby the children designed and then had the opportunity to fire them off.

It is fair to say Year 5  had a really great day learning a lot about science and the main comment was “FANTABULOUS”!
