I am writing to you on behalf of the full governing body and welcome you back to a new year at Waterside Primary School.  We all have a very busy year ahead of us, the teaching staff are working hard with your children to prepare them for all that comes this year, and the governing body have important roles to play in the strategic development of the school.

I would like to thank Mrs Moakes for stepping up as head teacher for the school, I know she will do a great job.  We also welcome Mr Ward, who comes to us as deputy head this year.  Mr Ward is a very experienced teacher and I know his support in the school will be extremely welcomed.

Very soon our annual report will be available on the school website for you to read as well as minutes from our governing body meetings.  Please look at the governor section of the website for more information.
We are also still looking for a parent governor so if this is a role that may interest you please do contact the school office for more information.
The whole governing body wish you well for the new school year,
Best Wishes
Claire Lowther
Chair of Governors
