Internet Safety Workshops – This Evening!

Final reminder for the  3 parent workshops that we are running at 6pm tonight in school around different themes of Internet and Technology safety.

Social Media is constantly in the news at the moment, for the adverse affect it is having on youngsters and teenagers. Our first workshop, led by Emma Moakes, is around managing Social Media with our children. The second workshop is for any parent concerned with their children showing signs of ‘gaming disorder’ or who may be struggling with managing their children’s usage of game play. This workshop will be led by Mark Ward. The final Workshop is for parents of younger children. Again, recent reports talk of the low language level of pre-school children who spend too much time in front of a screen. How do we manage this well? Mr Rolt, who will be running this, will share with parents how to use Purple Mash at home as a way of having screen time that is both fun and educational.

All three workshops are around issues that we all recognise – as parents and as educators – and the workshops will be run informally, informatively and sportively.

Thank you for your support as we put these events on.

Kind regards

Mark Ward
