SATS Results

Because of the Covid-19 Pandemic many of the normal assessment tests, both national tests and internal school tests, were unable to happen in the summer of 2020. These tests show how children are managing their learning and understanding. They help schools to focus their teaching in order to support some children, and stretch and challenge other children, in order to allow them to work at a greater depth. Teaching at Waterside is very much based on the needs of each individual child.

The percentages recorded for the academic year ending in the summer of 2020 are all based on a teacher judgement. Professional and rigorous teacher assessments of where we expected each child to be at the end of the year.

We have included that data here for parents to see, as it shows the positive journey we are on to providing an excellent education for all our children.
