Preeti Sunda – Parent Governor
I am a Parent Governor supporting KS2 learning in school. As a parent of two daughters who attend this school (and one on the waiting list for another couple of years), I feel I am responsible to ensure that the school gets adequate support to help them bring out the best in my children. Also, I want to be actively involved in my children’s learning by not only seeing or hearing what they do in school but by also challenging the authority to keep improving as I strongly believe that there is always a scope of improvement. As a parent governor I feel fortunate to be helping to try and make a difference and also think this is my little way of saying “Thank you” for all the efforts put in by the school management and staff for my children’s education and their learning.
Besides being an Army wife and a mother I am a graduate (BA in English, Political Science) and also a Teaching Assistant as far as qualifications are concerned and in my yesteryears, I have been into Sales and Marketing, Events Management and finally settling into childcare and then leading up to be a Specialist Support Teaching Assistant. I have volunteered in this school and even now try to volunteer as and when I can depending in my working hours and juggling home/kids responsibilities.
I love to spend quality time with my 11 month old and cooking different cuisines for friends and family to relax and rejuvenate myself.
